Asset Allocation

In addition to our equity and fixed income strategies, we also offer access to additional asset classes that can enhance diversification and potential return of a client’s portfolio. We work closely with our clients to design an asset allocation strategy that seeks to achieve their financial and non-financial objectives.  At times we feel it is appropriate to add investment strategies that are beyond our core capabilities.  These strategies tend to embody greater risks, and so we provide guidance and expertise as to the managers we recommend.

We provide guidance to our clients in the following asset categories to achieve overall portfolio diversification:

MCM also manages a proprietary adaptive asset allocation strategy called the MCM Apto strategy. This investment strategy seeks to provide capital appreciation in up markets and capital preservation in down markets by implementing a proprietary portfolio construction methodology that systematically adapts to changing market conditions. After analyzing a broad spectrum of asset classes, the strategy invests primarily in ETFs with a goal of outperforming the market over rolling 3-year periods.
